Volvo Penta SX-A Single Prop Sterndrive - 2007-2011

For use with 2007-2011 applications, this new generation Volvo Penta SX single prop outdrive is the best single propeller alternative on the market. The wide rudder area gives precise handling - especially important for close quarters maneuvering. Top speed is maximised by the hydrodynamically designed lower housing which also host technically advanced transmission features. SX is a solid base for true boating fun!

The SX single propeller drive is of the most modern design, featuring exhaust through the propeller hub, for quiet and efficient operation, a cone clutch for easy and smooth shifting, pattern-matched spiral bevel gears for optimum strength and minimum gear whine, and a break-away shaft coupling to prevent costly drive train repairs.

The hydrodynamic design of the lower drive housing ensures excellent course stability both at high speed and when maneuvering at low speeds and in reverse.

The drive is equipped with easily maneuvered hydraulic power trim for obtaining the best running position at different sea and load conditions.

For maximum corrosion protection the drive has gone through a 23-step paint process and comes equipped with sacrificial anodes both on the drive and transom shield. Either right- (standard) or left-handed propellers can be used. A choice of stainless steel and aluminum propellers are available for different applications.

We ship parts and engines worldwide! Parts orders placed before 3:30pm EST will normally be shipped same day (if the item is in stock). If you need your parts asap, UPS next day air, second day air, etc., are also available (Deadline is 3:30pm Eastern Time). Engine orders will be processed and shipped within 24-48 hours after payment-in-full is received. For special engine orders, shipping time is based on current stock and build time.

Items under 75 pounds are sent via UPS in continental USA. Items sent overseas are sent via USPS or UPS Worldwide Expedited, or air freight (depending on item weight). UPS cannot ship to P.O. Boxes.

We use different freight carriers to find you the lowest price AND safest delivery. Some of the freight carriers we use are: R&L Freight, Con-Way Freight, Estes Express, Pilot Air, USF Holland, Forward Air, Old Dominion, Overnight Express, Watkins, and Dayton Freight. Engines can be picked up at a local shipping terminal or dropped off at your location*. Engines are packed in specially designed crates made for that engine**.

All oil & lubricating fluids are drained before they are sent out (this is required by our freight carriers). All engines & parts are packed by our shipping department. Engines are then inspected by our shipping manager before they are loaded onto a freight carrier.

**All Marine Power complete engines are subject to a $150.00 non-refundable crate fee; and all MerCruiser complete engines are subject to a $300.00 refundable crate fee.

For items received as described, a refund of the final invoice price (minus shipping and handling charges and a 15% restocking fee) will be issued. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and for sufficiently packing and insuring returned items unless otherwise agreed upon. Refunds will not be issued for damaged merchandise. All returns must be made within 15 days of delivery to you. No refunds for electronic parts if box is opened. All returns must have a RMA # and invoice #. 15% restocking fee on any complete engine. If parts arrive damaged in shipment, it is the customers responsibility to notify the carrier immediately and reject the damaged package. Contact Michigan Motorz of the potential damage. A claim will be filed and we will send out the identical part. If parts are damaged in shipment and the customer does not notice damage, please call Michigan Motorz LLC.
